The U.S. has once again elected Donald Trump as president. A known climate denier, Trump has pledged to destroy the environment & harm communities by drilling even more oil. His incitement of hate is an affront to climate justice, both here in the U.S. and abroad.

Trump’s rhetoric starkly contrasts to our movement’s core values of justice, equity and diversity. Many of us in the climate movement across the world are feeling anxious, fearful, uncertain and even exhausted thinking about what lies ahead.

But this is not the moment to back down. Our work has just become that much more important. Our movement needs to come together now more than ever to counter the anti-climate agenda and to stand in solidarity with frontline communities against the radical far right.

To draw strength and insight, we are hosting an open webinar this week, where you’ll learn about the next steps and reflections from 350.org’s U.S. team. Well also hear from climate activists from the Global South on the challenges (and opportunities) in organizing under authoritarian regimes and resisting radical ideologies.

This is a chance to regroup, find resilience in each other, and remember the power of our global community.
